Nighttime music,
swirling, twisting all around us.
Cuddled together under the stars of summer
I lay against him,
watching and listening,

As the wind danced in the trees,
branches all around us putting on a show.
Fireflies waltzing in the dark,
glittered and gleamed,
perfect as shooting stars

Ready to grant our every wish.
Alive with magic,
this wood becomes our dreamland,
the place of solace,
our one true escape from the world of reality

Those fireflies, now showing us the tango,
made his blue eyes light up like fire
showing a hunger, ravenous and exciting,
a hunger for life, a hunger for love,
a hunger for me.

He is feeding on the energy of the forest,
his whole body changing,
changing and fading into the lights of the trees.
The moonbeams come down,
playing a perfect sonata,

Swallowing him whole.
I just lay back in the grass and watch,
watch as he slowly becomes one with nature,
one with the world,
the composer of them all.
